I've never heard of apple cucumbers. I grow lemon cucumbers (size and and color of a lemon, but round). Can't wait to see what these look like.

Hmmmm. What else? Tons of herbs, of course! And how about some Strawberries? : )

Oohhhh!!!! Strawberries!!!! I fogot about them.. I have been planning on them for ages! I so need to get some Basil too....

I have some herbs in pots already. Majoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, parsley, mitsuba(japanese parsley) and rocket.

I was confused when I saw everyone eating lemon cucumbers over there in the USA. Apple cucumbers must be closely related except they are white instead of yellow.

Yes, I vote for berries and herbs, too. Our climates are similar--how about a Meyer lemon tree? Are they called the same thing there? They make great ornamentals and grow wonderfully in pots.

Clare,

Did you ever get your Meyer lemon tree yet? Thaey are quite nice, and my parents wont return mine. They have planted and guard it day and night. ;P :) If you are looking for peppers to grow why go and get some unsual chile peppers to grow? I I have some a pubescens chilipepper which have purple flowers, and are very hot. I can't send you any seeds until next year, but there are some good websites to check out.

Oh, I am jealous! I need to do something about my garden. I think my plants hate me though. When they see me coming, they do the suicide thingy.
